Hello Patriot Nation! I am so happy to join the ranks of the valiant Patriots. I am a U.S. Army veteran and am very proud to work at a school that honors the men and women who have served our great nation. I am altruistic by nature and have been employed in the “helping profession” for most of my working career. I began my career as an educator working with special needs students as a Special Education Teacher at Edison High School. After three years of teaching, I decided to become a school counselor. I have served students, families, and school communities as a counselor for the last eleven years. I enjoy interacting with all my students and hopefully show each and everyone of them how important and special they are to me.

I am married to the love of my life and we have four children. I have two granddaughters and one baby, my dog, Saudi. Family is very important to me and I enjoy every minute I spend with them. One of my favorite things to do is to travel to the Caribbean. St. Lucia and Jamaica are my favorite islands. Visiting the islands help to relax and rejuvenate my mind and spirit.

My passion is to help others and I love working with high school students as they are not yet adults but are not children either. I enjoy watching their metamorphoses, of them growing into themselves. Sometimes the growth is like a smooth-running river, and other times it can be like climbing a rocky mountain. My job is to help students maneuver through their path with love, patience, understanding, encouragement and motivation.
